Radio Morena is one of the few stations in Bahia which boasts of a news team of professional journalists. Most of the other stations in Bahia do what we call "Gillette press", meaning they cut old news items from the daily newspaper using razor blades.
The high quality of their work, and the independent posture they maintain, has enabled the station to become the main news reference source in the South of Bahia. Every day, it is Morena's news programs which set the high standards for the rest of the radio and TV stations, as well as for the newspapers.
